Do you think you are indispensable?

Sometimes when you are feeling important,
Sometimes when your ego is in bloom
Sometimes when you take it for granted
That you are best qualified in the room
Sometimes when you feel you are parting
Would leave an unfillable hole…
Just follow these simple instructions
And see what they do to your soul;
Take a bucket and fill it with water
Put your hand in it up to the wrist
Pull it out… And the hole that remains
Is a measure of how much you will be missed!
You can splash all you wish when you enter
You may stir up the water galore
But stop… and you will find that in no time
It looks just the same as before!!
The moral in this quaint example
Is to do just the best you can
Be proud to yourself, but remember
There is no indispensable man!!
